  • Supervise the construction of the new Colchester Community Center.
  • Clerking Duties for the Construction of the new Alburgh, VT Family Club House.
  • Supervise the upgrade of the Site Water, Sewer, plumbing and Electrical upgrades.
  • Oversee the renovation of an existing Airport Hanger to temporary parking area of newly built electric planes and helicopters and also a trade school for both student and adult electric plane pilots and mechanics for the Burlington School.
  • Specific Responsibilities: Assist in hiring subcontractors and worksite management.
  • Responsible for regular communications with Public Housing Authority (PHA) personnel and oversee subcontractor-resident relations. responsible for achieving the hands-on installation of the Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) and preserving timeliness, harmony and productivity on the job.
  • Alert to the emergence of potential problems, identify, documents, and report to the persons responsible who can help resolve the problem.
  • When the unexpected occurs, patiently analyze its consequences and cause and apply corrective measures and install systems to prevent similar occurrences in the future, always keeping our customer in the communications loop.

Project/ Construction Manager, Owners Representative

  • Conduct on-site meetings with representatives of the customer, contractors and suppliers to discuss the project and anticipate future problems and their resolutions.
  • Prepare and maintain a critical path schedule for the project.
  • Schedule and conduct regular construction progress meetings with subcontractors.
  • Maintain records of each subcontractor’s contact information and on-site personnel.
  • Review all invoices, change orders and payroll certificates from subcontractors, and determine responsibilities and fair prices for the work.
  • Coordinate utility rebate and/or grant forms for Customer to obtain financial incentives.
  • Ensure that the subcontractors meet all obligations stated in the subcontractor agreements.
  • Provide and/or supervise all training as required in the contract for the Customer’s staff.
  • Coordinate and distribute the job closeout documentation package to ensure that a complete and accurate set of as-built drawings and supporting documentation is prepared.
  • Develop a job-specific safety plan, including conduct, document and record regular safety meetings with subcontractors.
  • Coordinate construction pre-bid meetings and walk-throughs with Subcontractors, the Project Manager, and the Customer.
  • Coordinate pre-construction meetings with the subcontractors and Customer, as necessary.

  • Working for Mobil, Exxon, Getty and other Petroleum distributors, specializing in converting auto repair and gas stations to modern convenience store gas retailers.
  • Responsible for site research, including building permit requirements, Zoning & Planning Board restrictions and various variance & special permit applications.
  • Extensive experience with all permitting applications including preliminary site, floor and architectural plans and all required abutter notifications.

  • To whom it may concern:
  • After 6 years living in Vermont, I am hoping to find a position in a different area of the USA.
  • I am seeking work as a project manager or owner’s representative or clerking position. I have extensive experience as a project manager, owner’s representative and clerk of the works. I have over 30 years construction supervision experience in a wide variety of roles and projects, with many large commercial companies, including Mobil, Shell, Getty and Car Maxx.
  • I worked for an engineering firm (Decker & Company, Inc., of Lee, MA) working with Shell, McDonalds, Mobil, Getty, and other large corporations as project manager and designer of several retail convenience stores, fast food restaurants and gasoline facilities.
  • After 15 years in the commercial construction sector, I joined the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff and retired after 20 years. During this time, I also was a consultant to the sheriff on the building of the new Berkshire County Jail and House of Corrections (2000) and managing the restoration of the old Berkshire County Jail and House of Corrections for use as a Juvenile Resource Center and Truant after- school program. At the time of retirement, I was the Sheriff’s Dept. Fire Safety Officer, Health and Safety Officer and Safety Officer.
  • Most recently I have been employed with PCI Capital Project Consulting Inc. in Burlington & Montpelier, VT. A few projects were as the Clerk of the Works for the new City of Colchester Community Center, Town of Alburgh Family Clubhouse. I worked as the Project Manager for CTI Services Inc. of Amherst Massachusetts supervising the Barre Housing Authority energy upgrade at 7 different housing locations, with over 400 living areas.
  • My prior experience with HUD, USDA, Local, State, Federal and numerous supervisory boards give me a broad understanding of all Laws, rules and regulations in Construction projects. Also experience with Davis-Bacon law and administration with regards to Federal Pay Requirements.
