In this key role, Sergeant Bishop's leadership was key to his team of nine generating 228 contingency airlift missions that moved 4,061 passengers and 2,314 tons of cargo across six forward operating locations across East Africa. Partnering with Horn of Africa leadership, he gained General Officer endorsement to establish an air bridge, forward deploy a 26-person team, and generate nine special fueling sorties that delivered over 23,000 gallons of fuel to secure life essential support for 750 personnel cut off at Camp Simba, Manda Bay after flooding in Kenya. Aiding the 406th Air Expeditionary Wing logistics team, he reviewed load plans and fixed errors that increased aircraft load capacity by 27 percent, accelerating transport of 3,800 tons of cargo and advancing withdrawal efforts during the West Africa retrograde by 45 days. His collaborative prowess continued with synchronizing two combatant commands through the relocation of seven remotely piloted aircraft and 25 tons of munitions from Niger to East Africa.
