Past responsibilities and accomplishments include:

  • Participating on the Implementation Team for a new agency wide computer aided dispatch program (Intergraph).
  • Programming the new phone system (Intrado) prior to moving into MCSO headquarters.
  • Developing curriculum to implement dispatching protocols for Detention staff transporting inmates outside of secured facilities.
  • Determining a way to self-fund raises for Communications staff utilizing vacant positions.
  • Completion of AZPOST General Instructor's class
  • Completed APCO curriculum includes Public Safety Telecommunicator (PST), PST Instructor, Communications Training Officer (CTO), CTO Instructor, Active Shooter and Communications Center Supervisor. Through Public Safety Training Consultants I finished ‘High Risk’, ‘Being the Best’ and ‘It’s Your Ship – Leadership'.
  • Supervised Emergency Dispatchers and Call Takers; answered calls for service over 911 and non-emergency lines and worked radio channels as needed.
  • Continuously monitored deputies and ran information to check and verify license plates, wants and warrants and other criminal justice information. I kept sergeants advised of pending calls for service and emergency or high risk situations.
  • Ensured that officer safety was maintained while providing emergency and non-emergency assistance to citizens and office personnel.
