Additional Information

Having grown up on the Onondaga nation I have learned a lot through my experiences about how our youth are in need of attention to stay physically active, along with creating better habits for a healthier future. Having my B.A. in Public Health from Syracuse University, my focus is on addiction studies and this is something that I feel very strongly about given the history of alcohol and drug addiction within our Indigenous communities. I think that by providing activities, programs, and events for our community, we can assist in taking steps towards living a healthier lifestyle. My background in lacrosse has come with many successes, but what is not highlighted is my defeats, I have played and coached the game of lacrosse for over 40 years, the leadership and preparation has prepared me to succeed in everything that I put my mind to. I have also been involved with youth coordination for over 15 years in various sports including hockey, softball, basketball ,golf, volleyball to name a few. I know what I can bring to this community center, I know it will be a success, I am prepared to do what it takes in order for us to have a well organized and successful organization.
