In the first year I was foreman of the dock, I had saved the client (BP refinery) 110,000 dollars in spending by properly checking the spending of the prier foreman. I also analyzed how certain equipment being used put the workers in compromising safety issues. So I did research throughout the industry to better our situation. I was able to come up with several stronger and cheaper materials that my department was unaware that existed. I also was able to build a strong relationship with the Blender department at Cherry Point, one that was nonexistent prior to my arrival. Once this confidence was achieved with them they new that my crew and I could take care of any task at any hour needed safely and efficiently. I also organized a monthly beach walk along the beach front to clean anything up that wasn't from nature. I worked there for 17 years, I started with Colt Construction in 1999 as a laborer then moved my way up as a equipment operator, insulator and then crane operator. Was a foreman for several years and was working my way towards a GF position.
