  • As a customer service representative for IU Health my role was mainly answering inbound calls, reaching out to health insurance company's to verify active coverage for specific dates of service for proper billing.
  • The calls that came in were mostly bill payments,adding health insurance to their accounts and or removing expired ones. Reviewing billing statements and providing details for the dates of service.
  • Created tickets for accounts that needed to be reviewed for payment posting issues or medical billing corrections so that it can be revised and re-billed.

Being part of the team under this tittle I was tasked with many task:

The most essential task for this position was collecting rental payments from tenants as well as posting amounts to our systems for each of the individuals accounts. This information needed to be accurately imputed in the system with date received amounts and form of payments.

My second task was to call all the utilities for newly acquired properties and or recently vacant ones to either connect services or disconnect them. All of this information was stored with confirmation numbers and account numbers for each property. I personally pioneered the template for this information so that everyone could view it or make updates.

During this time I also had to file for eviction on tenants that defaulted on canceling their monthly rent's. I was in charge of drafting out the court paperwork with proof attached to them. I would have to figure out the county of the residency to assure the accuracy for the court paperwork since not all of them used the same templates in their fillings.

Answering incoming calls as well as corresponding to emails was second nature since everyone in the office shared this task as a team.

A financial Counselors duties are ensentially guiding and educating patients on health insurance programs they could potentially qualify for based on the screeening process that could take place in person or over the phone. The screening questions help us look closer to what types of programs from State Medicaid (MAGI, LTC, and Federal Disability programs (SSI/SSDI). As well as affordability programs qualified health plans, essential health benefits. Upon determening the programs they would qualify for we take initiative by submitting the applications and collecting supporting information on the patients behalf. We also have a follow up procedure to ensure the patients have the best chance at securing health insurance. Our day to day is mostly outbound calls to patients needing to apply or in person appointments collecting the documentation and updating patients charts. As a member of PASS we are responsible for the registration and scheduling of visits for clinic appointments. We ensure that patients have all their information updated in their charts. This includes adding and verifying insurance if patients do not have health insurance we suggest a Financial Counseling vist to help secure health insurance. Our department involves a lot of communication with our RN,MA's and providers to make sure everything runs accordingly in the patients initial process of registration for their visit. Collections Specialist role at AMG Property Management entitled different roles . The main role being collecting rent from tenants and applying them to their accounts. If tenants fell behind with rent I would reach out and advised on a payment plan to get them caught up with rent. However in instances where they were behind rent consequitely and not paying I would file eviction paper work and gather evidence to file in small claims courts. Another aspect of the role was to call utilities for the properties and schedule new services or disconnections.
