• Provides quality patient services in support of the RHS mission, vision, values, policies and procedures. for the promotion, protection, and support of breastfeeding families toward improved maternal and child health.
• Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation management, of the breastfeeding dyad, in relation to needs of the patients in labor and delivery, nicu and women and infant care, through clinical, evidence based knowledge and skills.
• Responsible for the promotion, protection, and support of breastfeeding families toward improved maternal and child health.
• Prepares presentations to healthcare staff, to include medical students, residents, and RN's in the labor and delivery, nicu ,and women and infant care departments.
• Promotes world breastfeeding week, by developing presentations for staff, and creating displays to gain staff and patient awareness of the importance of breastfeeding.
• Provides leadership/ mentorship, by training all lactation consultants, and maternal child health staff, in the education of mother's and babies, with the best evidence based, breastfeeding care.
• Facilitates weekly breastfeeding support group.
• Provides outpatient lactation consultations.
• Provides daily follow up phone consultations, to previously discharged patients, to address questions and educate, for the most successful breastfeeding outcomes throughout their entire breastfeeding journey.
• Coordinates and assists mother's in acquiring, insurance covered breast pumps.

• Demonstrated and gave instruction in the proper ways of holding a child during feeding, explain changes in bodily functions, the importance of a healthy diet and self-care, and will answer specific questions about breastfeeding and its benefits in individual and group settings.
• Created a breastfeeding a friendly environment while promoting breastfeeding as the ideal infant feeding method to individuals and groups.

• Responsibilities included contacting new pregnant participants to provide anticipatory guidance and contacting postpartum clients to discuss breastfeeding progress and/or issues.

•Offered breastfeeding WIC participants continued education and support on maintaining a positive breastfeeding relationship with their infant throughout the first year.

•Screened and assisted with electric breast pump loan arrangements according to WIC policies.

•Followed-up with families, to make appropriate referrals within the medical health system and to community resources.

• Motivated clients to achieve their personal fitness goals through developing and modifying routines. in team-based environment to provide clients with optimal fitness services.
