With over fifteen years of devoted and diverse experience, I am a husband, father of two amazing children and I currently serve as a Task Force Sergeant having been selected to a variety of supervisory assignments and projects, many of which required management or administrative level applications. Heavily involved in community events and partnerships with various stakeholders in the city, I have been heavily involved in all Departmental operations, a variety of collateral duties, and in all other aspects of proactive and professional public service.

LA Impact Group 1 Supervisor

  • Manage six plain clothes detectives from various other Southern California Law Enforcement Agencies; assign cases and ensured investigations were thorough and contained all of the necessary information needed for criminal filings.
  • Manage surveillance, undercover operations, confidential informants, criminal apprehension/ warrant service and risk management assessment related to all daily operations.
  • Provided a monthly budget of allotted overtime for my group and ensured all of the detectives time cards were submitted weekly.
  • Conduct audits of assigned equipment and work with management to ensure the goals of the Task Force are met monthly.
  • Provide monthly staff reports regarding drug seizures and money seized.
  • Work with other Task Force teams within LA Impact and various other local and federal task force groups.

  • Manage six advisors and nine explorers; audit mandatory training updates for all advisors.
  • Plan and prepare staff reports and work with management to give vital updates on the programs direction.
  • Worked on making the program more equitable to make sure all juveniles can attend and afford all of the mandatory equipment.
  • Since taking over the program, the group has grown to the largest it has ever been and will be utilized as a departmental hiring pipeline when an explorer reaches 18 years old.

Crisis Intervention Team Sergeant

  • Manage a special response team that includes twelve team members.
  • Conduct training, conduct briefings and respond to incidents in the field with a two to three team members that include crisis intervention, criminal barricaded suspects and risk management assessment.
  • Wrote proposals and submitted various bids for a mobile command vehicle. Worked with Southbay RCC and department management to create and build a command post trailer.

Crime Impact Team Sergeant

  • Managed five plain clothes detectives assigned to the Crime Impact Team within the Investigations Bureau; conducted surveillance and arrest operations, in and around Los Angeles County.
  • Wrote proposals for new technology in order to assist with surveillance and officer safety; including the creation of a "plain -wrapped" patrol vehicle to be used in daily operations.
  • Assisted in managing the detective bureau; assigned cases and ensured investigations were complete and concise for criminal prosecution.
  • Conducted training and succession planning within the group and cross trained each detective to have the ability to work each detective desk.

  • Worked as a Patrol Sergeant during Covid and the civil unrest from the George Floyd trial. Was assigned as the logistics Sergeant and was responsible for obtaining hard to find equipment and provide food for the department.
  • Conducted daily roll call to review patrol assignments and provided training, direction and inspiration for a younger generation of officers.
  • Completed several internal investigations stemming from citizen complaints.
  • Collateral Sergeant in charge of the patrol fleet. Worked with Southbay RCC and department management to design and build all of the new patrol vehicles. Worked with officers to train and deploy these vehicles.
  • Collateral Sergeant in charge of patrol scheduling. Created various schedules to account for shortages of man power due to IOD issues and worked with management to implement these schedules.
