  • While working in corrections I would have to say this job really challenged me to learn how to handle and defuse bad situations, and to keep a calm atmosphere to be a leader and trusting person. My job on a daily basis was to count offenders and report my count, work one on one with people to help them get ready to return to public, once a year I attended in service which I was licensed on CPR, first aid and how to deal with people and stay being a great officer. I was part of the quick response team which I responded to fights and offenders trying to harm them selves to preform CPR and First Aid. While on the GRT team this is when I learned what being a team player was. We were built to really build trust in one another.
