Ruben Contreras

I am currently a student at San Bernardino Valley College I have taken a class on American Sign Language, English and Financial Accounting. I am also currently an Explorer at the San Bernardino Police Department For a year and eight months and within that time I've obtained a LEADS program certificate, I also completed the Explorer academy, and won 1st team overall in the OCLEEA Explorer competition. I have demonstrated that I have a strong work ethic because I have finished the tests required to go on patrol with officers before my other fellow Explorers that have been there for years. I recently got promoted to the corporal position at the Explorers program. I have proven to myself and my advisors that I am honest, punctual, hardworking, I have great communication skills, leadership skills, I am motivated, and disciplined.
