Ruben Urista

I have experience in writing detailed reports regarding incidents that have occurred in a juvenile correction center. These incidents include suicide attempts, assaults on peers and staff, as well as minor disturbances. I work well under pressure and respond to incidents rather than react to them. In my short time with Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department I have applied my training and coping skills to be able to talk to residents in order to gain their trust and to deescalate incidents, in order to enhance the safety and secured for my fellow officers and residents. I am very detailed oriented and highly structured. I posses excellent communication skills in both verbal and written and I am a team player. I take direction well, I am also a fast learner, and I am willing to take charge in a stressful situation.
