Volunteer Experience

2018-2024

In 2017, I started riding horses at the Highland Horses School of Riding, and by 2018 I was fully involved in volunteer time and consistent work multiple times a week at the barn. Twice a week, I took nightly feedings and completed all barn chores including but not limited to:

  • Feeding 25+ horses, each of which has their own dietary needs and specific supplements
  • Mucking stalls/ replacing water daily
  • Loading/ unloading/ tossing 100-pound hay bales daily
  • Lots of interaction with young kids and parents daily, including teaching lessons
  • Vaccinating/ Worming/all other medical needs that animals required

All of this was completed on my own time and free of pay.
