Special Operations Response Team (SORT) Duties:

• Respond to high-risk emergency situations within the federal correctional facilities.
• Responsible for handling inmate disturbances and high-risk transports.
• Train with both less lethal and lethal weapons.
• Transport High-Risk inmates who require more security such as convicted terrorists and influential members of violent street gangs.
• Work with tactical movements, such as quarter battle (CQB), vehicle interdiction, and breaching.
• Provided security to ICE and Border Patrol during Midway Blitz in Chicago, Illinois.
• Provided extra security for the ICE facility, assisted in the apprehension, and provided support for individuals who are accused of violating immigration or related laws.
