My career objective is to grow and develop into a solid, strategic, and versatile person. This involves integrating an in-depth understanding of the tech sector in order to effectively bridge the digital divide among communities in sub-Saharan Africa. I also want to use media as a tool for fostering people-to-people exchanges among people, and as a platform for redefining the African narrative.
In 2022 , I created the Sangyin podcast , as a platform to give the African diaspora a voice to share their works and experiences The Sangyin podcast has grown to develop as one of the biggest African podcasts in China, with over 100 episodes and an average of 25k downloads Then in 2023, we merged Sangyin Studios, journals, and events to create Sangyin Media Company Sangyin Media events is well known for sponsoring events such as Wuhan Africa Gala night while journals published “The Sangyin” Magazine in 2024
I’m a blogger and writer who has written various articles that have been published in various online and print media both at home (Uganda) and in China, such as the China Daily newspaper and New Vision Uganda I have also taken part in and won various competitions, such as the Georgetown University US-CHINA Student Challenge (2020) and the My China Story Essay Competition (2021) I was also a research fellow at the Development Watch Center think tank, a think tank that focuses on foreign policy, and a writer at afrorepcom, an African creative platform
My great leadership skills are best evidenced by my service in various organizations, such as the Uganda Students Association in China (USAC), where I currently hold the position of president I had previously served as provincial commissioner (Henan) , Web administrator and General Secreatary of the executive committee of the organisation I further served as president of the Wuhan Uganda Students Association in China, 2023-2024
I’m a 27 year old Ugandan Male currently concluding my Masters in computer science at Central China Normal University In Wuhan. Previously, I obtained my bachelors degree in software engineering from Zhengzhou university. I’m a passionate believer in the power that technology has to uplift communities around the world and as well as provide credible solutions to humanities greatest problems. I'm also a podcaster at my own podcast, the Sangyin podcast. The Sangyin podcast is a platform that aims to give the African diaspora a voice by sharing their views and stories. Later I merged Sangyin Events, Studios and Journals to create the larger Sangyin Media Company.
