Tutto Fresco is an Italian fast food establishment where customers order up front and can even drive through. I began this job in high school and kept it through my college years. My job features taking orders, giving customers recommendations, helping customers with complaints, handling to-go orders, operating a busy drive thru, running food to tables, and closing the store.
Pavo is an InsureTech startup that provides an instant premium finance marketplace for insurance brokers and platforms. Because it was a startup, my job was essentially performing miscellaneous tasks, as that is what was needed. For example, tasks I completed included creating company policies, making sales PowerPoints, creating a sales pipeline, helping the company achieve Soc 2 certification, and other small day-to-day tasks. My job was supposed to eventually become a sales role, but the product development took longer than expected. This resulted in my hours being cut, and eventually I was told they do not have the funds to pay me anymore as they were not making money yet.
Cover Whale is a trucking insurance firm, and my job there was to file surplus lines taxes for individual insurance policies. The company was in its early stages at the time, so I was asked to create surplus lines filing manuals for over 25 states. The states differ greatly in how to file, so the surplus filing team needed these to operate more efficiently. I successfully created these, and the team ran much more smoothly as a result.
