  • An all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, Adventure in Science is connected to the University of Maryland 4-H Extension in Montgomery County, Maryland. At Adventure in Science, we focus on using action to learn about the world. Every Saturday during the academic year, participants gather to participate in interactive workshops led by local specialists on a topic that interests or excites them, such as science, engineering, research, or global ecology. The students have the opportunity to test out the tools or concepts during these sessions in order to have a better understanding of how they actually function and impact our society. Occasionally, those concepts can develop into something fresh and change the world.
  • After being a student, participating in all activities. I decided to take a step further and become an Adventure in Science Assistant (AISA). Helping with classes, making sure everything is run correctly, and, most importantly, being a role model for the kids.
