Manages all day-parts of the ABC-7 news product & brand. Accomplishments include a complete, hands-on overhaul & rebuild of a popular, new morning show, creating a new lifestyle show and completely innovating the evening newscast content & presentation for both 6 & 7 P.M. shows. Also fully executing a daily digital strategy while supervising, training & mentoring a staff of reporters, photographers, producers & talent.
Served as both executive producer for the top-rated NBC-2 11 P.M. newscast as well as serving as executive producer for the early evening news run directly overseeing all content & production of the 4 P.M., 5 P.M. & 6 P.M. newscasts.
Managed & supervised a staff of 60 - directly responsible for hiring/recruiting, all budget expenses for the news department, daily news content, all special project execution & scheduling, produced news specials & created/launched a new, cutting-edge 5 P.M. newscast unlike anything in the market. During this tenure also served as acting news director for three months as well as morning executive producer prior to assistant news director promotion.
Oversaw all news content, story selection & newsroom staff for 5 & 6 P.M. newscasts while also line-producing daily 6 P.M. newscast.
Line produced daily 6 P.M. newscast - working independently managing newscast creation, reporters/live crews, showcasing & stacking. During this tenure this newscast was honored with three regional Emmy Awards, three regional Edward R. Murrow Awards & one national Edward R. Murrow Award for best newscast.
Line produced daily two-hour news block of a four-hour morning show "Fox 6 Wake Up" - working without supervision on successfully creating an engaging morning news show - overseeing & creating all content from news to feature segments.
