• Conduct investigations of abuse, neglect, abandonment and/or special conditions for children
• Collect information through observations and interviews with the children, parents, relatives, and collateral contacts.
• Assess danger threats, child vulnerabilities and caregiver protective capacities in order to determine child safety.
• Collaboration between state attorneys office, law enforcement, child protection team, and other government agencies.
• Arrange emergency placement for any child that cannot safely remain in the home.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments for present and impending danger.
