Ryan Bruce

As a special education teacher at South Doyle High School I created and managed IEPs to define student learning objectives and educational strategies, in addition to applying instructional knowledge and methods to support goals. I was also tasked with co-teaching in the general education class, bi-weekly monitoring progress monitoring, and conducting IEP meetings with parents, administration, and students when appropriate.

As the Assistant Baseball Coach I was responsible for working with offensive and defensive drills and game day preparation.

As the Academic Support Coordinator I assisted the Academic Support Director with meeting with students and setting up meeting times with academic tutoring coaches. I also assisted with tracking student athletes grades to not only maintain eligibility to play but also to stay on track to graduate.

During my tenure as Head Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator I was responsible for establishing daily practice plans, recruiting, grade checks, chapel checks, and field maintenance. All while fostering a positive team culture, emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.

As the Recruiting Coordinator my duties consisted of reaching out to coaches and recruits. watching recruits play, inviting them for school visits and workouts, and managing our scholarship budget.

• Taught various secondary education classes including History, Spanish, and Physical Education. It was my goal to promote a positive classroom environment by establishing clear expectations and fostering mutual respect among students.
