Ryan Canutt

Summary

I am a resilient wildland firefighter, known for high productivity and efficient completion of tasks. Skilled in fire suppression, emergency response, and hazard reduction techniques. I excel in decision-making and teamwork, bringing forth the ability to manage critical situations with calmness and clarity. I am equipped to contribute to safety and effectiveness in wildfire management roles. This year, I'm also prioritizing focusing on my personal growth. Not only do I want to be a positive and uplifting crew member, but I also want to continue the growth from Highlands' 20-man crew into a more well-rounded human, on and off the clock. This move from the Highlands Type 2 crew to the Interagency Hotshot Crew Type 1 is a big step for me because I never really felt that my skills and knowledge were being utilized to their full extent. My intentions were always geared toward moving on to hotshotting. All that being said, I'm excited to fulfill my role on an IHC crew with confidence and tenacity. I'm ready to learn, and I'm excited to see where I go from here.
