While in Ft Sill, I was primarily a heavy vehicle operator assigned to load and deliver patriot missiles and other class 1.1 explosive ammunitions across the country as a part of tactical convoy operations. Trained and lead junior soldiers within the unit, passing on my experience to them. Held responsible for management of 5-30 soldiers. Attended and completed multiple military leadership and training schools, becoming a subject matter expert in loading operations, convoy tactics and procedures. I played a primary role as a convoy commander in a convoy with internal security elements during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I coordinated protection for large convoy elements of 30 or more local national trucks and military trucks. I was in charge of the loading and safety of high value military equipment and personnel.
