Ryan Seitz

At Kiewit, I worked with the underground electrical engineering team on Micron's ID1 Triton project. My work consisted of but wasn't limited to:

• Communicating with subcontractors regarding installations and deadlines.
• Field walks; walking the site and ensuring proper installation.
• Takeoffs; estimating electrical quantities including conduit, duct bank, and telecom materials.
• Attending all of mentor/manager's meetings, taking notes, and paying attention to how corporate construction dealings/negotiations are handled.
• Learning new real world terminology and methods not offered in St. Thomas classrooms.

At Streicher's, my work consists of numerous roles, going wherever I'm needed. These tasks include but are not limited to:

• Shipping and Receiving
• Picking orders
• Inventory maintenance
• Officer uniform embroidery
• Show floor organization
• Online used firearm auction
• Cleaning

In the Streets Department, I would utilize large machinery to perform street maintenance to repaint various street paint across the city. Some of these tasks were:

• Conduct maintenance inspections on city trucks to ensure safety and proper function.
• Painting crosswalks all throughout Bloomington.
• Directing traffic around said paint/crosswalks.
• Blocking off lanes and roads to ensure civilian/traffic safety.
• Nearing end of the summer, my team helped out with full-timers and assisting in more major road work such as repaving roads.

At Clutch Hitter my main tasks consisted of:

• Operating the cash register to receive payment by cash, check, and credit card, and
• Preserve the appearance of the store by arranging and replenishing displays and merchandise racks
• I was also expected to train new employees, especially as I became the main person working the shop, and it was a rather small business
• A great opportunity to try and create some skills in selling and overall increasing my confidence when dealing with customers
