Through hands-on instruction provied by industry experts, earned 5 certifications using standard welding tools and thermal cutting equipment, while gaining proficiency in blueprint reading and knowledge of weldment testing and safety procedures. Served as student mentor and program ambassador in my second year at EVIT. As a senior project, volunteered to work on a team of 7 people over a two-month period, to build a 15' high sculpture that showcased every type of joint used in structural welding.
