During my time at the San Mateo Public Library, I was able to achieve 100+ hours of volunteer work, 81 hours allotted to school for community service, while aiding visitors with the library's technological equipment. This position provided me with the opportunity to grow my skills in communication, leadership, planning, and building connections.
This job prioritized teaching black-belt students martial arts. My duties consisted of work leading classes and working individually with students of all ages to excel in statewide tournaments. Having essentially grown up in the environment, this position allowed me to work on my own personal development, leadership abilities, self-discipline and dedication, performance motivation, and fitness training amongst a variety of individuals, in order to become a positive influence on the communities I have the opportunity to be apart of.
