I had an opportunity to undergo some research work during my high school period at Wayne State University under Dr. Nihar Ranjan Nayak, Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
I have also shadowed under multiple doctors in multiple offices. One example is Dr. Suchitra Zambare, MD who works in Ascension Providence Hospital, Novi, MI as a Diabetes & Metabolism Endocrinologist. Another example is Dr. Sangita Pradhan, MD, Internal Medicine. Her office is located in Rochester Hills, MI. Shadowing for me involved observing the day-to-day activities of the doctor in question, with focus on conversing with patients and learning about their physical circumstances and what they are looking for in relation to that. After learning about the changes in their condition, the doctor compares them with the patient's baseline health condition and suggests or discusses with the patient for a new medication if needed.
Consistently qualified for the HOSA State Competition during high school in Michigan.
Raised the GPA of the fraternity by 0.25 in one semester, drastically improving our overall academic performance.
Volunteered in a non-profit organization (Orissa Society of America) multiple times as a stage coordinator, announcer, and helping the food committee.
