I started my boxing journy back in junior year in October and now I'm a high school graduate about to start my fall semester at Northwest Vista College. At first I had only joined to be able to get a workout in, but now I see that boxing is much more that physical exercise. I enjoy boxing because it teaches you discipline, gives you confidence, works with your mind just as much as your body, makes you to learn to think quickly and react with a timely matter. Boxing is a sport that you go into alone and only work with yourself. You go in the ring alone and all you have is yourself to depend on. It isn't like other sports where you work with a team and if y'all win or lose depends on the people on the team, you only have yourself and winning or losing is determined by your performance and skills.
