Worked at Kenwood part-time through the end of high school, then full-time during all summers/winter breaks until summer 2023. Worked in annual appointments, sick/injury exams, surgery prep, urgent care, outpatient management, front desk work, and animal boarding.

• Client Aid Experience: Educated clients on animal health maintenance topics. Answered pet owner phone calls and responded to questions while taking messages for staff veterinarians. Delivered excellent service to pet owners to drive repeat business.
• Patient Care Experience: Assisted veterinarians with routine examinations, treatments, and minor surgeries. Restrained and stabilized animals during examination and treatment. Prepared and administrated medications and vaccines as prescribed by veterinarian. Cared for animals in outpatient status or in post-operative recovery.
• Lab Experience: Worked with IDEXX technology to analyze or send out blood, urine, and fecal samples. Experience with canine and feline radiographs and ultrasounds.

• Organization Experience: Coordinated and participated in events and programs such and canvassing, phonebanking, in-person campaign events, and virtual educational events. Organized professional development activities designed to enhance organizational skillsets among fellows.
• Mentorship Experience: Assisted with the onboarding process of new fellows, providing guidance throughout. Facilitated conversations between current and former/senior fellows about career development opportunities.
• Virtual/Communications Experience: Managed Slack with a team and handled large-scale communications sent to all involved fellows across 26 states. Drafted communications intended from distribution either among active fellows or specific messages to senior management.

• Educational Experience: Implemented and evaluated environmental education activities and programs for elementary-aged children. Created interactive activities to engage participants in learning about the environment. Facilitated discussions between students on topics related to nature, conversation, and sustainability.
• Administrative Experience: Organized and led trips to local parks, nature centers, and other outdoor locations. Researched current trends in environmental education and advocated for new initiatives and programs. Produced educational materials such as pamphlets, fact sheets, and handouts for distribution to students.
