This service benefited residents of the City of Shafter by ensuring donated items were clean, organized, and ready for individuals and families in need.

Armed Forces Support Foundation I helped set up tables for the Military Heroes Gala Benefit Dinner and Auction. The money from the sale of dinner tickets and auction items goes to various projects, such as building wheelchair ramps, for local veterans.

Houchin Blood Drive Houchin blood bank is the local blood bank that provides blood, platelets, and plasma to local hospitals. I donated a pint of blood at the drive. I did not receive any pay, class credit, or benefit in any way. At the blood drive, they were able to collect over 60 pints.
