• Inpatient: Cared for inpatients on the pulmonology service at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital with acute illnesses including but not limited to pneumonia, COPD and asthma exacerbations, pleural effusion, pneumothorax and management of thoracostomy tubes, preliminary workup for new pulmonary masses, interstitial lung disease, various pulmonary infections
• Started process to become credentialed to perform thoracenteses, and am familiar with indwelling pleural catheters for recurrent pleural effusions
• Was an integral part of the pulmonary team caring for COVID19 patients on the medical and progressive care units during the COVID19 pandemic
• Served as the COPD navigator at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital to help prevent re-admissions for COPD patients, duties included coordinating outpatient followup for discharging COPD patients, working with respiratory therapists to price pulmonary medications for patients in preparation for hospital discharge, ordered appropriate testing for non-invasive ventilation setup from the hospital

• Outpatient: Saw pulmonary patients in the outpatient setting, these patients were mostly hospital followups, but was also responsible for seeing new and followup patients for COPD, asthma, and sleep disorders including obstructive and central sleep apnea and narcolepsy
• Ordered appropriate testing when indicated including pulmonary function tests, chest xrays, CT scans of the chest, cardiopulmonary stress tests, polysomnography and CPAP titration studies, MSLT and PET CT
• Worked as a member of a team with three other advanced practice providers and two physicians, as well as nurses and respiratory therapists in the office and hospital settings
• Ordered and interpreted various imaging modalities and lab work required for emergency department patients
• Performed procedures including incision and drainage of abscesses, suturing simple and complex lacerations, and gynecologic examinations
