- During my high school years, I volunteered my time after hurricane Katrina hit the city of New Orleans. We worked with Habitat for Humanity to rebuild homes in the areas most devastated by the disaster. Seeing the happiness brought to these individuals faces when they knew nothing but sadness and devastation, brought so much satisfaction to me. Seeing those in need, and wanting to help them in return is something I learned during this trip and in turn changed my view on life in general. Leading me to the path I am on now.
