VOLUNTEERING

Chester YMCA, Volunteer Coach, Chester, VA, 2015-03, Present, I worked as the front desk associate at the Chester YMCA. I was personally asked if I would be willing to become a volunteer coach for the little league sports that the YMCA offers for all the different sports, soccer/indoor soccer, basketball, t-ball, etc. The managers and supervisors noticed how I was treated as well as how great I was with all age groups of kids that came into the gym, so I volunteered as the coach for 3 years working with children from the ages of 3-7 years old coaching all the sports that I listed above. I also was always asked if I would volunteer with the different fundraisers that the YMCA would hold to raise enough for the sports programs to the after school program, because they knew I was great with others and I was easily able to get others to donate towards the fundraiser during that time, to being told that I am very driven and focused and always ready to help out and volunteer for a good cause and going beyond what others normally wouldn't do, and that was to make sure everyone felt welcomed, helped the families to be able to put their kids in the sports programs the YMCA offered, to being able to raise enough money to pay for their kids to attend afterschool programs and summer school programs.
