Samantha McPherson

I am an efficient worker who has experience in hectic, fast-paced environments, which have developed my ability to resolve problems and conflicts effectively and efficiently. As a lifeguard, I have learned how to manage young kids to ensure their safety and the safety of others, while trying my best to ensure they are still having a fun experience. As a busser, I have had to learn how to accommodate a variety of people and maintain a professional demeanor. In both of these positions, punctuality and responsibility have been essential.

• I volunteered at Lollypop farm caring for animals
• I am in climate club at Brighton High School
• I am Vice President of my school's Leadership Club
• I was a Link Leader at my high school which is a position where selected upperclassmen lead freshmen in group activities meant to educate them on what to expect in high school and assist in minimizing the learning curve that comes with transitioning form the middle school to the high school.
• I was youth staff in a conference called Teen Institute, which helps high school students develop leadership skills, build community, and open up to new experiences. As youth staff we set up for events, led events, instructed team building exercises, led cheers, led group discussions, and made people feel comfortable and included. We were also given lessons on how to be the best leaders and were encouraged to lead by example.
