In high school, I was very involved in extracurricular activities. I was the captain of the varsity girls basketball and volleyball team for 3 years! Being in that position for those years taught me the importance of leadership, teamwork, and communication. I still enjoy doing extracurricular activities, like working out, reading with my book club, and spending time with family and friends. I was also given a great opportunity through my school to join the Health and Medicine pathway, which gave students the opportunity to learn some of the basics of nursing and have an internship experience. I learned how to properly perform hand hygiene, properly make a bed, give a bed bath, feed a patient, and many other basic skills. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, classes were moved to online and internships were canceled, and the program started to fall apart during my senior year, 2020-2021. But, my junior year of high school was a great learning experience and inspired my love for nursing. I have been awarded with high honors through out high school, and placed on the deans list at Quinnipiac in Spring 2022. I am a hard working, trustworthy, and dedicated student and employee who always strives for success and is always willing to learn!
