i have recently entered into the realm of reading. Prior to this past school year, I went from someone who hadn't read a single book for fun to someone who read 12 books. Its truly a hobby I've come to find comfort in. I've studied music since I was 5 years-old. I started with piano lessons, went to voice lessons at 11, started learning to play the guitar at 12, and taught myself to play the ukulele during quarantine in 2020. This past year I have returned to piano lessons and I've played guitar and sung in my youth group for the past 3 years. In the past two years, I have had the privilege of making and reconnecting with the friends I believe last me a lifetime. Some of my favorite activities with friends involves getting açai, walking around new cities, or just laughing and having meaningful conversations. Family is where I find my true comfort. My family is the group of people I am most myself with. The Brazilian in me is what drives me to be the family oriented person I am.
