Samaria Jones

I am a highly motivated and academically accomplished Mathematics major at Rust College, graduating in May 2025. Throughout my undergraduate career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, consistently earning Dean’s List recognition and maintaining membership in the academic honor society for four consecutive years. My academic achievements have been further recognized through multiple mathematics scholarships, including the H.M. Thompson & Allen Stewart Endowed Scholarship and the O.P. Lowe Scholarship, awarded for outstanding performance in mathematics and science.

My coursework and research have equipped me with a deep understanding of mathematical theory, statistical analysis, and quantitative reasoning. I have completed projects in mathematical modeling, data analysis, and cryptography, applying classroom knowledge to solve real-world problems. I am proficient in mathematical tools such as MATLAB, LaTeX, and Excel, and have working knowledge of Python for basic data science applications. In addition, I have served as a mathematics tutor, reinforcing subject mastery and strengthening my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.

I am passionate about continuing to grow within the field of mathematics and applying my skills to academic research, education, or analytical roles.
