Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as focal person for Environment Health Safety Department.
- Participate in Risk Assessment, HAZOP study and any high risk activities.
- Conduct periodic inspection and highlight issues in operations meetings/department heads.
- Conducting Risk Assessment Studies/Analysis specifically Process Hazards Analysis coupled with Health &Environmental Assessment.
- Documentation and implementation (e.g. work permits, general SHE rules, working at height, road transportation etc…).
- Participate in RCA(Root Cause Analysis)and incident investigation team.
- Plan, Conduct and Review emergency drill scenarios and provide SHE related inputs.
- Hazard identification and quantitative and qualitative risk analysis and analytical skills.
- Verify, review and check the Job Safety Analysis established by the concerned supervisory performing party.
- Generate and maintain safety statistics periodically & analyze it to be use in company’s accident prevention program.
- Develop Safety Plan for critical and hazardous activities, out lining potential hazards at each stage ,and implement precautionary measures.
- Conduct, coordinate and maintain data audits, inspections and safety related trainings.
- Monitor the site and ensure adherence to Safe Work Practices through personnel counseling, awareness building, safety measures and disciplinary actions and recognition programs.
- Investigate accidents to determine the cause and prevention of recurrence of similar accidents.
- Organize mock drill and planning for emergency situation.
- Enhance safety awareness through all means of communication tools available in hand (safety meetings, TBT, Workshops and Presentations).
- Initiate measures to correct unsafe practices or unhealthy conditions and work or procedures to be observed and adopted.
- Ensure safe operations and supervision in all aspects of project management including man power, material and environment to ensure compliance with safe quality & hygienic standards.
- Conduct periodical workplace DROPPED OBJECTS Survey.
- Inspect the work site on daily basis to report good practices and correct the unsafe acts and conditions.
- Responsible for the safety of all man power and materials/properties of the company and directly reporting to Project Manager in any issue related to safety.
- Develop Emergency Response Plan and organize Emergency Rescue Teams.
- Coordinate with operating staff for safe guarding employees work environment and all equipment in perfect working conditions in order to produce good progress and to ensure personnel will work safely and smoothly.
- Develop and implement ‘safe system of work’ for specific site activities.
- Prepare site specific safety manual and safety inspection checklists in association with HSE Manager.
- Reporting, Recording, Investigation, Communication of findings of accident, incident and near misses with review of corrective & preventive action taken.
- HSE Monitoring of various activities like confined space entries, work permits, hot works, etc.
- Inspection and rendering advice for procurement of best quality personal protective equipment(PPE) and other related safety devices/equipment.
- Ensuring that tool box talks were conducted in daily basis.
- Conducting reliable methods for safe work practices to be utilized by the employees and providing necessary technical guidance for potential near miss, incident and even accident prevention.
- Report to the management any unsafe conditions like equipment defects/abnormalities and advise them for control measures/corrective actions and presented Root Cause Analysis (RCA.).
- Inspection of Fire Extinguisher and performed corrective & preventive measures if found not in good physical condition or malfunction.
- Inspection of excavation and established protective measures analysis.
