  • I was assigned to be in the yard sorting and establishing proper placement of poles, materials, and making it efficient for the crews to pick material and throw trash and pole material in proper bins
  • On occasion, I would be in the field assisting crews prepping material to frame and set fiberglass poles, bussing transformers and equipment, pull in ropes to prep for pulling in wire, as well as helping wreck out wire after clipping and breaking parallel on the old wire.

  • I accumulated 5000 hours of distribution, transmission, URD and substation hours as a fourth step apprentice
  • My experience includes pole change outs, equipment maintenance, fire mitigation, reconductor, hand digging pole holes, prepping material, framing poles, using line truck to set poles and equipment
  • Rigging of Steel and fiberglass poles, assembling poles with cranes, clipping and dead-ending wire, loading and unloading of wire, assembling insulators, wiring transformers and equipment, prepping shoes, and dead end and jumper paddles
