Set to double the plant's capacity from 30 million gallons per day (MGD) to 60 MGD by 2028, the project began in late 2024 to address increasing water demand in Denton and Collin counties. The expansion includes the construction of a new Membrane Complex Building, a 6-million-gallon clearwell, and a Recovery/Emergency Pump Station, along with significant upgrades to treatment processes and mechanical systems. Additional work entails extensive site improvements, infrastructure enhancements, and the startup and commissioning of new systems for seamless integration with the existing facility.
