  • At Remco I am a Refrigeration Service Technician
  • I service various supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies and a few warehouses in the DC, Northern VA and MD area for their refrigeration needs.

  • I was responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of a company van
  • I serviced industrial cleaning equipment like scrubbers, sweepers, buffers, air ionizers and de/humidifiers.
  • I also serviced small engine equipment (Gas and Propane) like Kubota's, generators and snow blowers.
  • Our service area was from Wilmington Delaware and Ocean City to Alexandria Virginia and DC and all areas in between.
  • Once I received a ticket from my manager I would drive to the locations, speak with the customers and fix their equipment promptly.
  • This job entailed a moderate amount of dealings with small electrical components and troubleshooting, I mostly dealt with 24Vdc and 36Vdc battery operated systems with hydraulic pumps, vacuum motors, drive motors, solenoids, variable resistors, relays and switches.
  • I also dealt with 120Vac equipment with the same components listed above.
  • With the small engine equipment that I dealt with we mostly performed preventive maintenance like valve adjustments, changing spark plugs, bearings, belts, occasionally we would rebuild a propane regulator or a carburetor.
