interest in becoming a public defender

I would like to become a public defender to do legal research, writing, and advocacy related to criminal defendants and immigrant clients. My focuses in law school included criminal law, criminal procedure, and constitutional law. Additionally, I took a trial skills class, called "Case Preparation", which is one of the necessary qualifications for 3.03 Certification in Massachusetts.
