Make at least weekly contact with assigned mentees to include a two-way dynamic conversation (in-person preferred - Google Meet, phone, or email only if student does not attend the in-person site) to discuss attendance, progress in courses, and to set attendance and progress goals and document the contact.
Frequently discuss target graduation date with mentees and work to remove barriers to academic success.
Using advisement lessons/topics provided by the Mentor Facilitator and Regional Coordinator, engage in meaningful conversation with mentees around monthly advisement topics and document the contact.
Once per semester, plan and facilitate parent conferences at the site (in person for in-person sites) using student-led conferencing to guide conversations around expectations, attendance and course progress and document accordingly.
