I am Sam Cohn, and I am a student at Oak Hall School. I am a lacrosse goalie for Oak Hall and the Florida Lacrosse Club. I was on the high honor roll in 9th grade, and I am in the Distinguished Scholar Program and Student Government. I enjoy playing lacrosse and basketball in my free time, and I like listening to country music and going to the beach. I am interested in studying political science in college, as I am interested in pursuing something in the political or law field after college.
I have participated in Oak Hall Lacrosse since I was in eighth grade. The lacrosse culture at my school is the whole reason I chose to come here in sixth grade. Through this, I have met guys with whom I will be friends forever. I have had my best memories with this team, and I will be sad to see my time come to an end. I started playing lacrosse as a defenseman, however, I switched to becoming a goalie when I was a freshman. I have experienced how passionate everybody on the team is about the sport, and it has trickled down to me. I think the culture and tight bond are the best things about it. Junior year, our whole team bleached our hair for team bonding, and I believe we have never been closer. When you see somebody with a head of bleached hair, you recognize them as a lacrosse player. I hope that when I graduate, I have left a lasting memory and legacy of what it means to be on the team. I want this team to be successful and keep the close-knit team culture after I leave.
