• Capacity Monitoring and Reporting
• Monitor all Core offices for power, space and cooling requirements. Provide quarterly capacity reports indicating 3 year status for each location.
• Ensure adequate build margins are maintained paying particular attention to changes in technology.
• Ensure all network standards are addressed or have a plan in place to remedy at core offices.
• Attend monthly meetings with regional switch implementation, budgeting and planning teams to drive communication of the plan.

• Develop a 3 year Construction, Power and Grounding (CPG) plan for each core office to ensure we have sufficient plans to support the growth requirements.
• Develop capital funding templates and required budget structure to capture our needs.
• Provide a framework for best cost solution for projects at the core offices.
• Planning Support.
• Provide plans and guidance on CPG related issues to support team priorities and ongoing activities and ensure alignment with East territory objectives. Coordinate and communicate CPG objectives to external teams.
• Work with counterparts to define and implement common engineering design standards (methodologies) for core offices.
• Ensure compliance and consistent planning strategies are applied across all core offices.
• Develop/update Territory plans and guidelines, as assigned, to address CPG issues within prescribed deadlines and provide updates to team upon completion.
• AC utility and AC/DC equipment power systems.
• AC utility One-Line Review.
• Secondary power distribution study.
• Design project review and guidance to A&E firms.
• Conduct core office visits to monitor field construction progress and provide guidance to ensure proper CPG compliance and capacities are achieved. Modify long-term plans, as needed, based upon project observations.
• Lead all territory power planning efforts for assigned market to drive all A&E design and support the construction efforts.

Description: Responsible for the replacement and upgrade of facilities infrastructure equipment. Specifically responsible for all construction of technical site infrastructure and emergency back-up systems. Responsible for oversight of construction projects with respect to site infrastructure equipment, including electrical, DC Power Systems, AC Power Entrance Facilities, UPS, Generators, HVAC, plumbing, heating, cooling and ventilation. Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to oversight of maintenance of fire systems, elevators, cooling towers, chiller systems, boilers and BAS (building automation systems). May be responsible to assist with emergency response, including portable generators and restoration trailers. Work with outside Engineers, design professionals and contractors on facilities and equipment repairs. Assist with periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary. Work is completed from blueprints, drawings or sketches. Oversees and/or directs work of vendors. Works with local management and Building Engineers on site assessment in proactive role to sustain the health of the network.. Submits budgets and plans to lead Engineer. Sets up MOP and MASTARS and coordinates safe work time practices. Reviews safety concerns with venders and there subs. facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
