- Order patient testing based off of physician's orders
- Cepheid and wave testing trained
- Provide exceptional care to patients while drawing their blood, maintaining the highest standard of care
- This includes, but not limited to, informing patients of any pre-testing preparation, drawing blood following the proper order of draw, and informing patients of any follow up care needed
- Assist the MTs and MLTs in the main lab with accessioning and test preparation, preparing and packing any send out tests, answering calls from other departments
- Assist our Pathologist with frozen sections by preparing the work station, receiving the fresh specimens, staining the specimens and placing on slides once they are sliced by the pathologist and preparing all specimens to be grossed by Histology
- Assist Interventional Radiologist by preparing bone marrow extracted from patients, examining to determine specimen is viable, and preparing the bone marrow, and core specimen to be sent to a reference laboratory to be tested and resulted
