my job as a crane operator, my responsibilities is to operate as smooth and safely , and also to use the proper rigging and know the capacities of the crane and what it can handle and by all means don't ever go against manufacturers requirements for the machine always be alert and obey signals from your rigger

as a rigger, make sure you use proper raking that comes down to shackles and chokers, and whatever lifting devices, you might be using hand signals and communicate properly with the crane operator
