Daisy award winner with multiple daisy nominations

October 2022 I won the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses when I was nominated by the unit clinical expert when a patient told me he wanted watermelon because it sounded good and he could not eat most of the food they sent him due to it not tasting good. When I clocked out of work I went to the nearest grocery store and bought him some watermelon and immediately took it to him. He was so happy and ate the majority of it.

I have approximately 6 Daisy nominations by patients I have cared for. The last one was in January 2025.
