Sr HRIS Analyst – Workday Configuration Analyst

Highmark Health
  • HRIS analyst for HR Technology, including production issues, enhancements, open enrollment configuration and support and system releases. Develop requirements documents, test and deploy solutions. Create/develop/modify reports required by the Business to support processes. Develop and deploy new features from application updates from Workday releases.
  • ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
  • Participated as a team member in configuring Open Enrollment.
  • Completed the conversion from one vendor to another for multiple pretax, after-tax, Roth contributions, as well as executive contribution plans and pension plans.
  • Completed Scheduled Report Project, eliminating over 1,000 Schedules.
  • Successfully added Voluntary Benefits in their entirety for Open Enrollment including benefit plans, benefit rates, cross plan rules, etc.

Sr. HRIS Business Analyst

  • HRIS Lead for the Benefits Team. Responsible for all system enhancements and updates, open enrollment configuration and ACA 1094-C/1095-C filings. Worked with Benefits Team to streamline and eliminate manual processes, created all business requirements documents, test scenarios and test cases. Coordinated and implemented changes from test systems to production.
  • ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
  • Participated in the installation of a new HRIS system, Workday. Responsible for US Benefits as well as APAC and EMEA. I was also heavily involved in the conversion of data from the prior system, SAP to Workday and all integration testing for benefits. Attended training for Benefits Fundamentals, Business Processes and Reporting.
  • Completed all aspects of 3 Open Enrollments as Lead.
  • Worked with IT and the Benefits Team to troubleshoot issues with the Fidelity Indicative integration and Contribution/Loan integration. The indicative file was not sending new employees to Fidelity and the Contributions and Loan payments process was a manual effort for the benefits team completed semi-monthly. I worked with the payroll team and benefits to create an automated integration which was required by the Audit Team.
  • Assisted with a new integration and volunteer hours tracking system for Global Day of Impact, the Citrix’s volunteer program.
  • Determined employees that had access to sensitive data on the HRIS system and sent HIPAA compliance notices and tracked responses.

Sr Benefits Analyst/Plan Manager

  • Managed the benefits team as it relates to HRIS, ESS, open enrollment, vendor integrations and benefit plans analysis. Supported HRIS initiatives for the benefits team as they relate to system upgrades and enhancements. Successfully administered the employee 401k plan with 59% participation rate and the executive Deferred Compensation Plan. Performed complex research and analysis of data from various sources and provided simplified results for management. Voting member of the Disability Plans Appeal Committee, Deferred Compensation Committee and Secretary for the Retirement Plan and Investment Committee.

  • Provided cost analysis to Senior Management to increase 401k match utilizing non-exempt bonus program as well as costs related to vesting the match 100%. Result of this analysis converted the plan to a Safe Harbor plan, eliminated the need for annual discrimination testing, and reduced employee turnover by 7.3%
  • Managed internal and external audits of both qualified and non-qualified plans resulting in a 4.5 rating out of 5.
