SangMin Kwak

I am a Biomedical Engineering undergraduate student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a strong interest in biomedical research and laboratory-based science.

During my military service in South Korea, I underwent knee surgery after a training-related injury. Being told that my knee would never function the same way again became a defining moment for me. This experience motivated me to pursue biomedical research with the goal of contributing to solutions that can reduce long-term physical limitations and improve patient outcomes.

Through my academic training, I have gained hands-on experience with biological signal measurement systems (ECG/PPG) as well as molecular biology techniques including PCR and DNA analysis. I am currently seeking a Summer Biomedical Research Internship where I can further develop my research skills and contribute meaningfully to ongoing biomedical studies.
