Using MATLAB and Excel to formulate codes and data that is being collect to further analyze the conditions roller bearings by plotting total number of mileage, RMS, temperature, and the average temperature to observe the total energy exerted by the tester
Recorded and examined temperature, vibration, load cell, and impact data using LabView
Mentored and trained new hires to machine and measure roller bearing components using toolsets to properly select for the different classes
Assisted and taught the correct process when pressing off and on roller bearings on a four bearing axle assembly and single bearing dynamic rig
Tutor new hires the proper use and safety measures when it came to using machines such as lathe and milling machines so they can help with custom parts needed for testing rigs and research purposes
Constructed both K and F freight bearings and measured out there respected components to the correct tolerances, the amount of grease and recorded pre and post experimental measurements.
Machinist Technician Assistant
Mechanical Engineering Department, UTRGV
06.2019 - 08.2020
Worked with machinist at the college of engineering to complete tasks and assignments that were set out by the college: machine maintenance, custom projects for professors, restocking materials for labs, and fabrication work
Refabricated degerminator for the college of science that was tasked to push out cornels to produce oil
Created parts that were necessary to restore lathe and milling machines to fully restore the machines
Manufactured tooling for the lathe machine out of HSS blanks
Taught college-level students to practice safety using the machinery in house while teaching them to read a blueprint correctly such as a ballpeen hammer
Practiced and learned to use CAD software to CNC parts needed for the department.
