Sarah Donahue

• Mastered aseptically insertion of PICC lines and Midlines, 3-6 per shift, depending
• Assess and place all PIVs in hospital, including emergency department, surgery, infusion center and diagnostic areas, 10-20 per shift, depending
• Mastered US guided PIV placement
• Central line dressing changes
• Evaluate and troubleshoot clotted and nonworking PICC lines/midlines
• Provide expertise and support
• Respond to all codes and place PIV or Intraosseous catheter
• Care of central lines and dressing changes

Outpatient Day Surgery and Procedure Clinic:

• Admit for surgery including total joint admissions, orthopedic surgeries, and exploratory laparoscopic procedures
• Recover phase 2 of post operative surgeries
• Pre and post care for upper and lower gastrointestinal scopes
• Conscious sedation
• Blood transfusions
• Strong communication skills between patients and healthcare providers

Medical/Surgical Nurse:

• Provide expert bedside care, treatments, IV therapy, and wound care of 6 inpatients.
• Team player
• Strong communication skills

• Family Medicine Clinic, International Clinic, Woman's Clinic, Child and Teen Clinic, Medical Specialties Clinic, Westwood Clinic of Harborview Medical Center, Renal Clinic
• Duties include: Charge nurse, provide leadership and problem solving with coworkers, triage, manage clinic flow, wound care, blood draw, IV starts and IV fluid management, obtain EKG, prenatal teaching and neonatal stress tests, assist with gynecological procedures which required conscious sedation, administer age appropriate immunizations, patient and child teaching, assessment of dermatology, pulmonary, allergy and asthma, and arthritis patients, assist with surgical procedures, administer allergy skin tests and run apheresis procedure

Inpatient Float Nurse

• Emergency Department and overflow
• Burn Unit; mastered and provided expert complicated wound care
• Neurology
• Occasionally float to Telemetry and Orthopedic Unit
